Laura & Martin
Laura and Martin are both from Galway, Ireland, a place much greener than the desertic island of Lanzarote, where they celebrated their marriage at Amura Restaurant, on June 5, 2016.
Lanzarote was where they spent their first holiday together, they shared great memories here. They fell in love with Lanzarote, and when they visit they feel like they're coming home. (It's the Lanzarote effect!)
When I asked Laura how her and Martin met she said-
"We met on a night out through the best man, a mutual friend. We spent the whole night just sitting on a wall chatting, even shared a bag of chips. I took him to my school prom as my date and then after a very long year of becoming close friends we became a lot more.
And seven years later we are married.
We are both very nerdy and love our sci-fi ...... and Star Wars, DC and Marvel.
We both compliment each other. He\s sensible and I'm flighty and have crazy ideas all the time. We are definitely best friends, and usually know what the other is thinking before saying it."
It was pretty obvious they were crazy about each other.
On a side note, this was an extra special wedding for me. I was originally unable to photograph because I was returning to Lanzarote too late after shooting another wedding the day before in Mallorca, Spain.
When the wedding planner told me that Laura was pushing her ceremony later so I could be their photographer, I was beyond flattered.
After meeting them, both such sweet and genuine people, and I saw how much they love each other, I was determined to give them the best photos I could!
So a huge thank you to Laura and Martin for making it happen.
All the best to you both, enjoy the photos and every minute of your newly married life.
